SUMMARY:VEHICLE SURVIVABILITY TACTICS (VST)
DESCRIPTION:Our Vehicle Survivability Tactics course is one of our more advanced courses. During this course\, students will learn how to fight effectively with a handgun from inside a vehicle. We will cover the effects of bullets striking a vehicle\, effects of bullets against tempered and laminated glass\, the strong areas of a vehicle along with the weak areas of a vehicle. We will also cover the special considerations of vehicle interiors\, specific draw techniques\, and other specific items. Each student will engage targets from inside a vehicle while shooting through a windshield. This will be an eight hour course and lunch will be provided. \nGear List: \n\n185 rnds of FMJ\n15 rnds of JHP\nEye and Ear Protection\nHandgun\nThree Magazines\nConcealed Carry Holster\nSpare Mag Pouches\nGloves\nFacial Covering (there will be a lot of powdered glass in the air)\nNote Taking Gear\n\nThis class will require a proficient level of gun handling in confined spaces. DESCRIPTION:This is an advanced course that combines the Home Defense and the Cover/Concealment course. We are taking the act of clearing a house and add the process of effectively using cover and concealment in the house. SUMMARY:Go Ruck Personal Security Detail
DESCRIPTION:Personal Security Detail is a unique training course that addresses some of the most common concerns associated with using your personal defensive weapon around innocents. In a real-world scenario\, you would have extreme stress and crowds of innocent people to negotiate through\, two difficult things to simulate in a controlled training environment. Our Cadre will use dry and live fire drills to accustom participants to stressful environments. This course builds confidence and problem-solving skills in some of the most common threat scenarios involving a firearm and protection of a person. By the end of this course\, participants will have the opportunity to test their firearms in small teams engaging the threat\, protecting people\, and getting them to safety. \nPersonal Security Detail is not recommended for beginners. We recommend the Active Shooter Intervention – Pistol course prior to Personal Security Detail if you are a beginner. \nDue to the space and safety requirements needed to conduct these events the ranges may be up to a two hour drive from the city listed. Please keep this in mind when making lodging arrangements. \nThe duration of this course runs 8-10 hours. \nAll GORUCK Firearms Courses and Events utilize scenario based training which is incorporated into dry practice prior to any live fire. All participants will practice target identification and discrimination\, movement\, weapons manipulation\, and other dynamic drills with the cadre and others. These drills will be facilitated with inert weapons enabling a safe and realistic training environment. Both pistols and rifles will be rendered inert with barrel/chamber blocking plugs. DESCRIPTION:ANY SECURTY MINDED PERSON KNOWS THAT WE ARE MOST VULNERABLE WHEN TRAVELING AWAY FROM HOME DURING THE NIGHT. SO WHY NOT TRAIN TO FIGHT UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS?\nIn order to participate in this course participants should have received formal training in the use of weapon mounted lights and handheld lights while engaging targets. Participants must be able to move\, shoot and communicate with confidence. Participants must be comfortable manipulating their weapon in confined spaces with limited visibility. This course requires a high level of situational awareness\, communication skills\, and competence with both rifles and pistols. \nComing into this class being comfortable and confident with your firearm in a low-light or no-light situation is a prerequisite\, and this event will take it to the next level. In this 6 hour block of instruction you will learn and experience fighting in and around vehicles with both your rifle and pistol. \nWe will use a prop vehicle from which you will learn to use as cover\, fight from within\, and egress to safety; all while using your light for target discrimination. After several dry runs and live fire scenarios\, you will have a culminating exercise in a small team providing cover fire\, communications\, and tactical egress from the vehicle to points of cover. \nThis is an advanced pistol and rifle combat course and is not recommended for beginners. We recommend Counter Active Shooter Night (Pistol and Rifle) and Counter Ambush Response prior to taking this course. \nParticipants who complete this course with Cadre Machine will be eligible for a Florida non-resident concealed weapons permit. These permits are valid for a term of 7 years in 36 states. \nDue to the space and safety requirements needed to conduct these events the ranges may be up to a two hour drive from the city listed. DESCRIPTION:Basic Pistol is a new offering in the GORUCK Tactical series\, this is a course for brand new shooters who want to learn basic firearms safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Our Cadre will begin by teaching all the basics of safely operating a semi-automatic pistol; parts of the weapon\, rendering safe and clear\, function checking\, disassembly – stance\, grip\, sight picture\, sight alignment\, trigger squeeze – and physically demonstrate each course of fire prior to each drill. All of the firing drills are designed to make you accurate from both gun in hand and drawing from a holster. You will fire at various distances\, positions\, clear stoppages and practice magazine changes. You will learn basic strategies that will better equip you to react to use of force situations. \nParticipants who complete this course with Cadre Machine will be eligible for a non-resident concealed weapons permit. These permits are valid for a term of 7 years in 36 states. \nDue to the space and safety requirements needed to conduct these events\, the ranges may be up to a two hour drive from the city listed. Our instructors explain the statutes that govern use of force and concealed carry in detail and in laymen’s terms. We also talk about and demonstrate concealed carry techniques and holsters. \nWe provide\, hearing protection\, eye protection\, ammunition and firearms\, although you are also welcome to bring your own firearm. Please wear a belt to facilitate wearing a holster\, as well as close-toed shoes and shirts with sleeves.
