DESCRIPTION:This comprehensive class will give you a certificate that will allow you to apply for your concealed carry permit and much\, much more. To register: Call and leave us a message at 850-597-7550.\n\nWe offer scenario-based virtual reality training with simulated weapons as well as live fire exercises on the range – the most informative instruction in the region. Our instructors explain the statutes that govern use of force and concealed carry in detail and in laymen’s terms. We also talk about and demonstrate concealed carry techniques and holsters.\n\nWe provide\, hearing protection\, eye protection\, ammunition and firearms\, although you are also welcome to bring your own firearm. Please wear a belt to facilitate wearing a holster\, as well as close-toed shoes and shirts with sleeves. Classroom registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs until approximately 5 p.m. with lunch provided.

DESCRIPTION:This course represents the second in a three part series. 250\, 350 and 450. The Advanced(350) course will build on the foundations set before it by the Enhanced(250). The Talon Defender series will be entirely shot and taught from concealment and is geared towards the responsibly armed civilian. \nThe course will cover the following topics: \n-Refresher on handgun malfunctions \n-Refresher on handgun transitions \n-Intro to trauma care \n-Intro to low light engagements \n-Extensive work on movement around people\, obstacles and barriers \n-As always\, legal and mindset discussions throughout the class. \nAll students will need a current certification from the Enhanced(250) course\, a concealed carry weapon with at least three magazines or three speed loaders. We recommend that you bring more. A concealable method of carry\, Pocket flashlight and 1000 rounds of ammo. Course is designed to consume 800 rounds.

Leave home Thursday and drive to Tallahassee\, attend class Friday\, Saturday and Sunday and drive home that evening\, better than you left.\nTalon’s staff has been training law enforcement officers for over 25 years and has taught close to 10\,000 civilians over the last 10 years. There are over 3\,000 members of the Talon Range and the range has a fully stocked pro-shop on site. We can provide anything you need for the class.\nTalon Holsters is on site and produces some of the finest custom rigs around as well as production concealed carry holsters made from US Steerhide. Leave home Thursday and drive to Tallahassee\, attend class Friday\, Saturday and Sunday and drive home that evening\, better than you left.\nTalon’s staff has been training law enforcement officers for over 25 years and has taught close to 10\,000 civilians over the last 10 years. Want an exotic rig while you are here\, just ask.\nThe Talon Defender Series consists of three courses\, the Enhanced 250 Level\, the Advanced 350 Level and the Professional 450 Level. There are other supplementary courses as well such as Active Shooter Defense.\nEach of these Defender classes is three days or 24 hours of instruction. They cost $500 each and as such is as affordable as any of these types of training in the country.\nWhy spend thousands flying to the desert when you can stay right here in the South East and drive. Spend money on bullets\, not tickets.\nBut\, don’t let the price fool you. Talon’s instructor staff boasts current and former SWAT Team Leaders\, Snipers\, both military and law enforcement\, and lead trainers for state and local agencies. We teach what we lived.\nAt Talon\, we believe firearms and personal defense training goes beyond just shooting drills. We teach mindset\, because mindset matters. Understanding how your brain reacts to critical incident stress and preparing for that helps you win the fight and winning is what matters in a gunfight.\nOur Talon Defender 250 course is the next step beyond the basics and you’ll need to show evidence of competent firearms training before attending.\nWe’ll drill extensively on reloads and malfunctions to build your confidence and competence. Then there is scenario based training based on your new skillset. The class culminates in a proficiency based qualification course that you must pass for each level of certification.
